REMEMBERING JEAN.

REMEMBERING JEAN.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

A WOMAN REMEMBERS A LOST LOVE.

"

You remember Jean
For his wide smile and
Dark moustache and

The way he would kiss
You and hold you close
And whisper his sweet

Sexy words. Lucienne,
He would say, if you
Were the only star in

The heavens you could
Light up for me the vast
Darkness of my life and

Then he would kiss your
Lips so warmly that you
Felt the trickle between

Your thighs and the long
Breathed out sighs as you
Look at your aging skin

Wondering if the memory
Of that last kiss would
Always remain within.

One of my favorite themes - the loss of youth and the persistence of memory. Beautiful as always.
