HANK & WOMEN.A Poem by Terry CollettA MAN AND HIS ATEMPTS NOT TO OBJECTIFY WOMEN.
Hank’s mother lectured
Women as sexual objects,
Of his head, (he hadn’t seen
Added, her dark eyes boring
Or hands of any other part
Considered her words, he recalled
Hynde, saying, look at those biceps,
Over you and they’d laugh and
Mother was dead now and his
Try not to objectify women as
It was pretty hard when a nice
Down the subway stairs for a train,
Came into view as he stood by
Listening to jazz, a bottle of beer
The echo of them and the slap of
With the clock’s tick-tock and him
In a tight fitting, breast hugging, © 2010 Terry CollettReviews
