FATHER DYING.A Poem by Terry CollettA FATHER DYING OF CANCER AND THE LAST VISITATION.
Father was dying
Ashtrays placed on small
Travelsick from the
On a brave face hid
Look well, Father said
Of disinfect and
Window by the bed;
Mother asked, knowing
Is not ready for
The nearby ashtray,
Well, you’ll soon be home,
He knew that better © 2010 Terry CollettReviews
