![]() Where Is Light?A Poem by Terry CollettWhere is that light? I see only the dark, and the heavy clouds promising rain and storms. Where the peace and love? I hear only of war and conflict, blood running, cries into the darkening skies. Who shall bring me light and peace? I hear only drums of war and sirens of hate and destruction. Whose hand touches mine through the mistiness of the now? Whose feet come running? If there is no light to come where does hope lie? Sleep, hold my hand, embrace me angel of light, push back against the darkness. I hear only sounds of fury, preachers of hate, and the dogs of war are hammering at the gate. © 2025 Terry Collett |
