FAR AWAY WILD SEAA Poem by Terry CollettA WOMAN AND HER LOST LOVEMilly didn't think it'd get this bad. Odd the way things turn out, she mused. One minute all way well, and going along smoothly, then it turned sour, and we argued, and he went off with someone else, some girl from his office, some b***h who had no right to him. I did the ground work, she told herself, did the hard graft of out relationship, then it went off the rails, and he said it was over, and went away, and never came back the next day. I bet he shares with her now what he shared with me, kisses, holds, sex and such, pretty all and much. She thought it be a life long thing, be forever and ever as women tend to do, big white wedding, bridesmaids, church and flowers, and their own place and kids, but no it was over, out on a limb, he with some other, some b***h having him, some thief in the night, and she having none, no dreams, no marriage, no kids, nothing as far as she could see, just echoes of a far away wild sea. © 2016 Terry Collett |
