BROKEN MINDED GIRL.A Poem by Terry CollettA GIRL IS DEPRESSED AFTER HER BOYFRIEND WENT AFTER ANOTHER.If only the rain'd stop, if only the pitter patter would cease, and give me quiet and peace. He's out there some place, not here with me as he said he would, promised after the last meeting, after the love making, harsh words after, heart breaking. I wonder if he's with her? Can imagine it, almost see it in my mind's eye, night mare fare, the b***h on heat type, and he like some hound sniffing her out, sniffing her scent, the sour faced b***h, hell sent. He's out there somewhere far from view doing what he wants, who he wants, doing what he wants to do. I wish the rain would go, bring me some sunshine, bring me a shallow joy, a hint of better times, a suggestion that there's more after him, more to life, more to look forward to beyond this heartbreak, this dark passing time, depressive dump of a place to dwell. One heart broken female, broken minded girl. © 2016 Terry Collett |
