BY A WALL 47 BC

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

TWO ROMAN WOMEN AND A SLAVE GIRL AND TALK AND THOUGHTS IN 47BC

"

Amy stands
by the wall
looking down

at the sea
Annona
is sitting

on a seat
Alena
a close friend

is sitting
next to her
Albus said

that I talk
far too much
not that he

listens much
he never says
that we have

sex too much
Alena
says to her

Annona
looks over
at Amy

studies her
the way her
body forms

such beauty
and the hair
I love it

about me
when we make
our own sex

such are men
Annona
says replying

Marcus talks
more than I
probably

making up
for his time
far away

at those wars
and of course
he wants sex

none ending
Alena
nods her head

o I know
what that's like
starvation

of the sex
for many
long months

then he's back
and he wants
a banquet

of all sex
she utters
Amy sees

ships go by
a blue sky
blue green sea

Annona
wishes it
was Amy

in her bed
in stead of
large Marcus

shafting her
time on time
just Amy

making love
in her soft
loving way

sometimes night
sometimes day.
