COACH STOP 1970

COACH STOP 1970

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

A BOY AND GIRL TOUR FRANCE BY COACH IN 1970

"

The coach pulled up
in Cérans-Foulletourte
in France

and the driver said
you can wander here
for a short while

so Miriam and I
and others got off
and there was a château

and she said
want to look inside?
others were

so I said
ok
but I wanted a beer

and a smoke
and to sit down
some place

see a view
watch girls go by
anyway

we saw the château
and came out
and found a small bar

and had a drink
and smoke
and she sat there

in her blue jean shorts
and white top
and her red hair

pulled tight in a bun
and she said
wasn't that good?

yes it was
I said
but not as good

as the beer
or looking at her legs
crossed over

one the other
and her firm b***s
pushing out there

on her white top
and she said
France is so cultured

so historic
yes
I said

and I liked the area
where her legs crossed
skin on skin

and sipped my beer
and listened to her yak
about France

until the driver
of the coach
called us back.
