BUTTERFLY GIRL 1972

BUTTERFLY GIRL 1972

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

A BOY AND GIRL IN 1972 IN LOVE

"

We undress
not too quick
we'd just been

visiting
the old town
the churches

the cafes
the small slow
river flow

now we're here
undressing
Abela

is slower
than I am
removing

her clothing
there is art
in her slow

undressing
I'm naked
but she's there

beautiful
coming out
of her clothes

just like a
chrysalis
and stands there

in beauty
my loving
beautiful

butterfly
butt naked
before me.
