ON FINDING AN OLD SCHOOL REPORT

In my 1994
school report
my teacher says
that I had made

some excellent
progress that year
in many aspects
of writing.

All my pieces
were particularly
well planned
& structured

with imaginative ideas,
and she was sure
I would continue
to develop

my wide spelling
vocabulary
in the year ahead.
Finally,

she says,
that I had developed
a neat, cursive
handwriting style

and she was sure
that it would become
increasingly fluent
in the future.

She clearly
underestimated
the potential
of the PC,

because I hardly ever
hand write any more.
