PARTY GOER.

PARTY GOER.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

ON PARTY GOING.

"

I am attending
three office parties
this year;
maybe I should

go all out
& gatecrash
a Royal wedding.
All I need

is a cover story...
"All right,
Will,
I’m your

distant cousin,
Phil,
Aunt Sal's boy;
remember

when I dropped by
on Boxing Day,
a couple of years back
dressed

like a Christmas tree?
got completely wasted
& sprayed paint
on the corgis,

Granny Liz
was not amused,
called me
a dickhead,

good times"...
sorted.
