GOLDEN BOY.

GOLDEN BOY.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

ON BEING THE OFFICE GOLDEN BOY IN 2010

"

I had them all
convinced
that I was

whiter than white;
it was all going
so well

these past
three months
in the new job,

& then
"Dominic"
goes

& tells them
all about
my drinking habits

& past exploits
at the Christmas parties.

Being
the golden boy
again

was fun
whilst
it lasted.
