DAYS OF GLORY

DAYS OF GLORY

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

ON THE UNFAIRNESS AND BETRAYAL OF WAR

"

I watched
'Days of Glory' today,
didn't understand
a single word they said,

but still
a very good
war film.
In 1943

an army made up
of Soldiers
from the French Colonies
of Northern Africa,

were sent to help
the French against
the Nazis in WW2
& played a major part

in recapturing Alsace
from the Nazis
in 1944.
In 1961,

200 Algerians
were massacred
by Parisian
Police Officers,

following a peaceful protest
against their repression.
THAT'S GRATITUDE
FOR YOU!
