Arrogance Unearthed

Arrogance Unearthed

A Poem by T.a Walling

When you say you are free,

You betray your will through poetry.

Hide the chess game in your head,

You want to fight? Will you be happy dead?

Speak not of what you know nothing of.

Even rotten cores-

Knew the tree's love.

Go back to your "noble" state,

And feel lucky you had such a fate.

For there is no courage in a subtle game,

Like a warrior scream out your name!

Or cower and hide behind poetry,

And lie to yourself,

And lie to me.

I say again, nice strong voice with something to say in there. I don't think this is quite it though is it? There is something more you aren't saying yet.

As a humorist must admit I often speak on matters of which I have little knowledge, I find it adds a irony. Well, if you need me, I'll be hiding behind the few lines of prose I have written on my own page. Again, welcome! :)
