Time

Time

A Poem by Nyx
"

You can run from time but it will always catch you.

"
Give me the chance to live without haste
Time and I begin our superfluous race
The eminent threat of finality rests
Heavily burdened, limp on my chest
I stand rigid in a room of mirrors
Where my actions are displayed clear like my fears
Cover my eyes, close my ears
The reverberations of regret incite a flood of tears
As the Love and Happiness come to naught
I surrender to Him, my hands interlocked
With Kronos, my father, watching me falter
Time moves forward, and I’m left to ponder

Don't hasten me; I want to live in my time, because we will all meet our fate, sooner or later; Seems like you have many regrets involving your past loves; so, you decide to surrender to HIM, so as time marches on, you're left to ponder what? you're fate? what are you pondering?
Nice write!

Time moves on and still your happiness has come to naught... It's a race to the end, but with much regret; I suppose you are taking to a "higher up" who has watched you falter...as time move on and you're still pondering life itself. This is very complex and sad;' while you ponder, time moves on.
Thanks for sharing.
Best, Bettty
