Forgetting

Forgetting

A Poem by Nyx
"

I can’t remember you anymore.

"
I stand alone, desolately yet-
The ocean tides sway, I look to the blue
I reminisce in the feeling of dew
I wish I could forget you.
Your touch fades from skin like ribbon
Eyes filled with secrets and glitter
Images of idealization ensue
I wish I could forget you.
You hold me in your angelic palm
I touch your seraphic tendons
Shuddering at the thought of apocalypse
Crying out as my despair grew-
I wish I could forget you.

You must have anger inside you to keep repeating, "I wish I could forget you"....you have mixed emotions about this person, or maybe you could forget, but something is holding you back...your despair seems to be growing...thinking there may be an apocalypse. I like the strong wordage.
Best, Betty
