Bottomless Pit

Bottomless Pit

A Poem by Nyx
"

When we indulge in the darkness we find ourselves steadily growing closer to the hell in which we fear.

"
I’m simply dead
Can’t you see?
There’s nothing left
But a shell of me
My body is useless
So I threw it to waste
The creatures of the earth
Have already begun burrowing into my face
As dirt fills my lungs
I scream and I thrash
My long black nails
Are torn from my hands
I tear and I tear
The coffin so bare
I can’t seem to breathe
In this bottomless waste
I’m buried alive
By the fears I can’t face
Each time I fight
My body descends
Reaching the hell
I always knew I’d attend

Thank you so much ❤️
This is a great way to describe how you feel inside. The imagery is fantastic. I could feel every line. I know exactly how you feel in this poem that because I fight those same symptoms every day myself. This is an amazing poem. Keep up the great work.

You are very welcome.
I don't think this one is to be taken literally. I believe all of the grim symbols represent anxiety or depression or both.
