Misunderstood

I look into my soul

nothing seems wrong

until I have to make a choice

it seems wrong

or horrible

what comes from it

is what I avoid

people always get hurt

I try not to

but the outcome is the same

I lose my friends

I have no one

I never want to lose you

but it comes out as rejection

I care but it doesn’t show

alone, misunderstood

no one knows my pain
