Chained lifeA Poem by Terra BenditeChains skimming across the ground metal scraping skin feet drag across the mud dirt covers our faces starvation sets in I consider the people around me my family we are forced to work the mines forever together never to escape just mining until we die the sound of metal on rock cries from little children their hands bloody their feet wrapped in rags old men and women work along with us their hands shaking scars along their faces left to die working in the mines
