Nights spent alone

The days dragged on as the light left the day

the ice cold wind surrounding me

all I have for warmth is my jacket

no one to talk to

my thoughts kept to myself

I start to feel numb

this sensation fills my whole body

I don’t want to move

my stomach growls but there is nothing to eat

just alone in this dark night

no one to keep me company,

no one to talk to,

no one to help me stay alive
