Widowed wife!

The rain falls endless,
upon the widowed wife.

As the soldier she lost,
Lays lifeless with the knife.

His mind went numb,
and his body went insane.

left him in vain.

Once a man strong and wise,
is now haunted by his eyes.

The soldier lays still,
as the widow cries.

but yet he still dies.

Author's Note

A poem about a illness that a lot of soldiers come home with. It causes hallucinations, and suicidal actions. Some times can cause them to murder others. May god bless there souls, and help all who had seen the sight of war.

PTSD I think that is what they call it. A very serious condition affecting soldiers who some eventually commit suicide. This is a good tribute to that...:)
