Your GhostA Poem by Teresa BulgerA poem
She passes by the hollow grave once a day
The sunlight beats down just the right way Directing vistors toward the scene of despair Memories of your memories always being there Back in the day you had broken the pieces of her heart She had worked so hard for your approval from the start You called her names and used words no one knew She carried around pictures that reminded her of you She is beautiful and talented and you did not know You were too self absorbed and proud to be her beau Her confidence, love and peace she did preserve You were the receiver of a love you did not deserve So consistant in her daily plans and repetitions She included you in her lists of goals and ambitions You never gave her the time of day while alive She now gives up her life to make you survive She will never stop coming to your grave You will never be able to give up what she gave Though you are gone and forgotten by most She will always remember you by your ghost © 2014 Teresa Bulger |
