Nobody's Child

Nobody's Child

A Poem by Terence Sheque
"

About a blind orphan boy.

"

Born to a dustbin, on the road I Iie,

A pitiful sight, my wounded eye,

Nobody wants me, I’m nobody’s child.

A crease of hope, sets my hearts aflutter,

I’ve finally been picked out of the clutter,

Now in my senses, by blindness I’m bound,

All I can hear are voices around,

I search for hope, among those who come,

To take us home, it makes me numb,

With my brightest smile and little boy charm,

At the slightest touch, I hold on to their arm,

But when they know the boy is blind,

They kiss my forehead and step behind,

Voices I hear filled with joy and laughter,

Another child lives happily ever after,

A home they’ve found, I hear goodbyes,

My heart sinks, the river in my eyes,

Nobody wants me, I’m nobody’s child.

About
I'm a mystery that very few are allowed to unravel. I'm generally quiet and guarded and don't let anyone in. But as the saying goes, silent waters run deep.......I may appear calm, but there's a lot g.. more..
