On the brink of Extinction and All That

On the brink of Extinction and All That

A Poem by Ted

It's five o'clock in the afternoon,

The nuclear bombing

Hasn't begun yet

The rulers of this world

Are having cheap whiskeys

And flavored cigarettes

At the bar next door.

It is the dawn of the humanity

And the dusk of mythology

Or

Simply, the other way around

The sun is calmly scorching the earth

And we play blackjack at the local casino

It is late and I'm gonna push the red button now

Ya’ll hold tight, okay?

Good night and a merry funeral!
