Flame of Love

A girl whose feelings towards a boy change

            “See you tomorrow,” he said, waving as he walked off.

            “Have a nice day!” called Alexis, smiling as she walked on the bus. Staring out the bus window she watched her friend walk. They’d been friends forever, but something inside her felt hot every time she looked at him. When she was home she tried to take him out of her mind, but failed, thinking of him through out dinner. At night he soothed her in her dreams.

            The next day at school, life was normal till she saw him. Suddenly she was a stranger, acting like some one she never knew. After school she found her self interested in sports, something she’d never seen. At home she spent countless hours researching sports, but when she went to speak to him she turned to the stranger who curled her hair and whose mouth gaped like a fish. Her cheeks flushed as the stranger in her body took further control, pressing her lips to his as her body caught on fire, enveloping them both.

This was my attempt at magical realism. I wrote it for creative writing class. I'm not to proud of it, but my friend in the class liked it so I put it up for you all.
