CrushA Poem by TenebrousoulTo my Ex. May you grace someone else's door.
Crush
This weight on my chest, making it harder to breathe, The weight of you, crushing down around me I can't breathe when you're around, You are just too much to bear. You suffocate me, crushing this life right out of me. Crush Now we both know what it's like to be let down. Drowning to the depths below My lungs burning for air, Crushed is all I am You think you're smarter than me? You think that you've won this game? I gained 40 pounds because of you! Gave away my dreams, too I didn't need you then, I damn sure don't need you now. You were holding me back. I'm no longer crushed under the weight of you.
