Tempted episode 41

Episode info: Riley tells Claire that he's been drafted into the war. Riley is tragically killed while flying a plane. Rafe tells Claire that her brother is dead. Claire and Riley say goodbye.

Tempted episode 41
At Claire and James's house. 
Claire is sitting on the couch. 
Riley rings the doorbell. 
Claire gets off of the couch and she opens the door. 
Riley: Claire I have to tell you something. 
Claire: what is it Riley? 
Riley: I've been drafted into the war. 
Claire: No brother you can't go You'll get killed there. 
Riley: I know I don't want to go either but they picked me to go. 
Claire: brother you can't do this You can't leave me here. You'll die over there you'll get shot and I don't want that. Riley I need you. 
Claire begins to cry. 
Riley: shh sis it's going to be ok. I'll be careful nothing will happen to me I promise you I love you so much sis. 
Claire: when do you have to leave? 
Riley: tonight. 
Claire: No. 
Riley: I'm sorry sis but it's what they want. If I don't go I'll be arrested and thrown in jail is that what you want? 
Claire: No I don't want you to be thrown in jail brother I don't want you to get shot in the war either Brother your my best friend. I don't want to lose you. 
Riley: I know you don't. 
Claire: Riley if you die over there I'll never forgive myself. 
Riley: Claire I'm going to be fine. 
Claire: Riley I can't do this. I can't let you go to that war Your my brother and you mean everything to me.  
Riley: Claire please don't worry about me. 
Claire runs out of her house crying.

At Ford's apartment. 
Ford is sitting on the couch he is flashing back to when his father would beat James and him. 
Ford's voice: Dad stop please your breaking my arm Ow dad let me go. 
James's voice: Let my brother go father. 
Don't break his arm Leave him alone. 
Ford's voice: James go upstairs I don't want you to see me get beaten. 
James's voice: No brother i'm not going anywhere. I'm going to help you. 
Adam pulls a gun on James. 
Ford's voice: No dad don't shoot him. 
James's voice: Brother let him kill me It's what he wants. He wants me dead 
Gunshot. 
Ford's voice: Nooooo. 
In the flashback James collaspes to the floor of the house. 
James knocks on the door of Ford's apartment. 
Ford opens the door. 
James: woah Ford you don't look so good. 
Ford: brother what do you mean? 
James: you look like your going to cry. 
Ford: I had a flashback again.  
James: a flashback of what? 
Ford: it was when dad broke my arm You were trying to help me You were yelling at him to stop hurting me. He shot you right infront of me I took you to the hospital.  
James: I remember that I almost died at the hospital in surgry. A doctor put a cast on your left arm while I was in surgry. 
Ford: I was worried that you would've died. 
James: I know you were. 
Ford: we have a specical bond we will always be brothers. 
James: until the day we die. 
Ford hugs James. 
Ford starts to cry. 
James: brother don't cry. 
Ford: I can't help it James. Everytime I see a gun pointed at your throat I flash back to what our father did to us.  
James: I feel the same way. I was having a flashback at home. Claire doesn't know about the flashback. 
Ford: you should tell her. She has a right to know 
James: Maybe your right Ford. 
Ford: I am right.

In the park. 
Claire sits on a park bench and she is crying. Jason spots her and he walks over to her He stands infront of her. 
Jason: hey Claire. 
Claire: oh my god Jason your alive. 
Jason: yes I am I survived. 
Claire: my daughter Danielle hates me. She blamed me for your death She almost killed her own father she shot him with a gun while he was sleeping. She stabbed me in the back last night with a knife she almost killed me. 
Jason: I'm sorry Claire I'm angry at Danielle for hurting you and James. 
Claire: I don't want to be anywhere near her I hate her. I told her a story about my brother Riley's childhood and she didn't care. 
Jason: what a b***h I don't want to be with her anymore. 
Claire: don't be she'll try to hurt you. 
Jason: Claire you look upset why don't you tell me what's wrong. 
Claire: Jason my brother Riley has been drafted into the war He could get himself killed in it. 
Jason: oh no. 
Claire: I'm so scared that he could get shot. 
Jason: Claire it's going to be ok. When does he leave to go to the war? 
Claire: tonight At 8:00. 
Jason: aw I'm sorry. 
Claire begins to cry. 
Jason hugs Claire as she is crying. 
Claire: Jason I have to go home I have to tell my husband James about my brother Riley getting drafted into the war. 
Jason: ok Claire I hope your brother Riley won't go to the war. 
Claire: Me too. I can't lose him he's important to me. 
Jason: I know he is. 
Claire: bye Jason. 
Jason: bye Claire. 
Claire leaves the park.

At Jessica and Jim's house. 
Jessica: Jim i have great news. 
Jim: what is it honey? 
Jessica: I don't have that brain tumor anymore it's gone. 
Jim: oh my god sweetheart your not going to die after all. 
Jessica: Nope I'm not. 
Jim: I'm so glad that your not dying anymore. 
Jessica: me too I was so scared. 
Jim: I know you were I was heartbroken that you had a Brain tumor. 
Jessica: I know. 
Jim: I love you honey. 
Jessica: I love you too I'm glad to have our son Jason back I have a baby growing inside of me I'm so happy. 
Jim: I'm happy too. 
Jessica: I picked a name for our unborn son. I like the name Riley hale. 
Jim: you gave our unborn son Claire's brother's name. 
Jessica: yes I did What do you think? 
Jim: I love it.

At Claire and James's house.   
James comes Into the house. 
He sees Claire sitting on the couch crying. 
James rushes over to her as she is crying. 
James: Claire honey why are you crying? 
Claire: James my brother Riley has been drafted into the war. 
James: oh my god Claire he can't go. Do you know what could happen to him If he goes? 
Claire: yes I do know what would happen He could get shot to death and he could die. I'm scared James what If my brother comes back to me in a casket. 
James: I'm going to talk to him I'm going to tell him not to go I'm going to tell him how dangerous it is. Claire I know how much you love your brother he means the world to you. 
Claire keeps crying. 
James: shh sweetheart it's ok I'm going to go see him I'm going to tell him how upset you are. 
Claire: I love my brother so much. I don't want to lose him. 
James: I know you don't. Listen Claire I would do the same thing that your doing if it was my brother Ford that got drafted to the war I would be scared and I would be crying just like you are.  
Claire: i know you would sweetheart Go find Riley before it's too late to stop him from going.    
James: I will.  
James runs out of the house he goes looking for Riley. Riley is at his apartment loading a gun to fight in the war with. 
James knocks on the door. 
Riley: who is it? 
James: it's James open the door I want to talk to you. 
Riley opens the door. 
James: hey Riley. 
Riley: James I have something to tell you. 
James: what is it? 
Riley: i've been drafted. 
James: Riley you can't go I don't want you to die Bad things happen in that war Claire is really upset about this. She's scared for you. I'm scared for you too. 
Riley: tell Claire that I'll make it back to her Tell her that I'll make a promise to come back to her. 
James: I will. Riley why don't you be the one to tell her that you promise to come back to her alive after the war is over. 
Riley: I'll do it. 
James: come on let's go to my house and you can tell her.

At Danielle's apartment. 
Danielle is sitting on her couch. 
Jason knocks on the door. 
Danielle: who is it? 
Jason: it's a surprize 
Danielle grabs a gun and she has it in her hand she c***s the trigger. 
Danielle opens the door. 
Jason: surprize Danielle it's me Jason I'm alive. 
Danielle: Jason your alive? 
Jason: yes i am. I'm angry with you. 
Danielle: why are you angry with me? 
Jason: you shot your own father while he was sleeping last week. you stabbed your own mother in the back last night with a knife. 
Danielle: I hate them. 
Jason: you know what Danielle it's over I don't want you anymore. 
Danielle: GET OUT OR I'LL SHOOT YOU. 
Jason leaves Danielle's apartment.

At Claire and James's house. 
Claire is up in her bedroom crying in her bed Riley and James come into the house.  
James: she's not downstairs. She must be upstairs in our bed.
Riley: I'll go up to see her I'm going to say goodbye to her while I'm here I know how much it's going to hurt her. 
James: she loves you Riley You've Always protected her from everything your a good brother to her. 
Riley: thanks James Your a good brother to me also. 
James hugs Riley. 
Riley has tears in his eyes. 
James: Riley are you ok? 
Riley: will you do me a favor? 
James: yeah I'll do you a favor. 
Riley: If anything happens to me if I don't come back I want you to take care of Claire for me I want you to protect her like I would.     
James: I promise you Riley. 
Riley: thank you James. 
Riley goes upstairs to Claire and James's bedroom. Riley finds Claire laying on the bed crying her eyes out. 
Riley: sis. 
Claire: Riley what are you doing here? 
Riley: I came here to tell you something that I want you to know. 
Claire: what is it? 
Riley: I'm going to make a promise to you. 
Claire: what kind of promise Riley? 
Riley: I'm going to promise you that I'm going to come back to you after the war is over.  
Claire: I love you brother. 
Riley: I love you too sis I'm going to miss you so much. 
Claire hugs Riley. 
Claire: what else are you here for bro? 
Riley: I came here to say goodbye also. 
Claire: Riley there is something that I want you to have It will protect you while your fighting in the war. 
Claire hands Riley a necklace with a medal on it. 
Claire: Take this medal and think of me. You'll always have a piece of me with you bro. 
Riley holds the medal in his hand He notices that it says brother and sister forever. 
Riley has tears forming in his eyes. 
Claire: I'll always think of you bro. Take care of yourself take care of that medal don't let anything happen to it. 
Riley: I won't let anything happen to it. I'll treasure it forever Claire.  
Claire wraps her arms around her brother and she holds him close to her. 
Claire whispers in his ear. 
Claire: I'm going to miss you everyday. 
Riley: I'm going to miss you too sis. 
Claire: I want you to kiss me. 
Riley: where? 
Claire: on the lips right now bro. 
Riley kisses Claire on the lips. 
Claire: that will always be with me too. 
Riley: I'll never forget that kiss. 
Claire: you have to go now. 
Riley: your right The bus is here. 
Claire: bye Riley I won't forget you.  
Riley: I won't forget you Claire I promise. 
James comes into the room. 
James: Riley your bus is here you have to go. 
Riley: Bye James take care of my sister for me. 
James: I will. Take care of yourself  
Riley hugs James Riley is crying  
James is crying too. 
Riley: Goodbye Claire. 
Claire: Goodbye Riley. 
Riley leaves the house and he gets on the bus that will take him to the army base.

The next day at the army base. 
Riley is in a plane flying over the battle A enemy shoots his plane down over the ocean Riley is shot in the plane. Riley drowns 
Riley is hit in the chest by machine gun bullets He is thinking about his sister Claire as he is dying in the water. 
He shakes and blood comes out of his mouth. Riley is holding onto the medal with the chain that Claire gave him The camera pans onto the writing on the medal it says Brother and sister Forever. 
Riley: G o o d b y e   C l a i r e .    
Riley shuts his eyes and he dies. 
Rafe is looking for Riley. 
Rafe: Riley come in Riley Where are you. 
Riley doesn't answer Rafe's radio call. 
Rafe finds the plane. 
He sees that Riley is dead. 
Rafe: Nooo. 
He pulls Riley's body out of the water. 
He holds Riley to him. 
He is crying. 
Rafe finds Riley's cellphone. 
He dials Claire's number. 
Claire picks up her phone at home. 
Claire: hello Who is this? 
Rafe: I'm Rafe. 
Claire: why are you calling me? 
Rafe: Riley. 
Claire: what about him? 
Rafe: he's dead His plane got shot down over the ocean He drowned. 
Claire: No, No, No he's not dead He promised me that he would come back. 
He promised me that he wouldn't die he promised to return to me. 
Rafe: I'm sorry Claire. 
Claire begins to Cry. 
Rafe: he was my friend We became friends when we arrived at the base. He told me about you he told me how worried and scared you were about him going into this war. You were right it is a scary place for him and now he's dead. 
Claire: my brother is dead. How could this happen how could his plane get shot down. 
Rafe: I'm bringing his body back to new York. We can meet if you want 
Claire: I'll see you soon. 
Rafe: ok. Claire I'm sorry that your brother died He really loved you. 
Claire: I know he did. 
James comes into the room. He sees Claire crying. 
Claire: bye Rafe see you in a little bit. 
She hangs up the phone. She is crying she starts breaking down. 
James: Claire honey what happend why are you crying? 
Claire: James honey I need to tell you something. 
James: what is it? 
Claire: my brother Riley's dead He died in the war A enemy shot down his plane it crashed right into the ocean he was shot too he drowned. 
James: No. 
Claire: he promised me to come back alive. He's gone he's dead I'll never get to see him again. 
James: I knew something bad was going to happen to Riley in that war. 
Claire: I'm going to miss my brother so much I loved him so much He'll always be in my heart Riley if you can hear me I'll never forget you. I love you so much were always going to be brother and sister. 
James: were going to have a funeral for him tonight. 
Claire: I'm not ready to say goodbye to him I don't want to burry my brother in the ground. I don't want my brother dead I don't want him gone I want him back. 
James: I know sweetheart. 
Claire is breaking down she begins to cry She falls onto her knees and she is sobbing on the floor. 
Claire: my brother he's gone this can't happen to me I'm just dreaming my brother isn't dead it's just a bad dream. My brother Riley has to be alive. 
James: Claire he's gone. His name is in the paper. 
Claire: what does the paper say? 
James: it says Riley Gregory was shot down over the ocean in a army plane while he was fighting in the war. He leaves behind his sister Claire Gregory and his brother and best friend James Ford. Riley has something that he wanted to say to Claire. It says here that Riley made a promise to Claire to come back to her and to always take care of her. Riley will always be with Claire in her heart. 
Claire keeps crying. 
She is breaking down even more. 
She runs out of the house crying. 
James: Claire come back here. 
Claire is gone she runs away.
