Lawful Offense

Lawful Offense

A Poem by Diamond

Lawful Offense

Under the blanket of lies and deceit

You are the ghost that roams in fear.

Obsessed with the vanity of power,

You believe in your own lies.

With mandates and acts, fickle in nature

And often devoid of common sense

Your overbearing interference

Reflects your insecurities.

You function from a state of fear,

Of losing your power and control,

And you threaten the masses,

With weapons and consequences.

Your identity is carefully maintained,

By your overtures of subliminal influence

But what remains a question,

Is how justified are your actions?
