Illusion Of MoneyA Poem by DiamondIllusion Of Money With the snap of fingers, you trick the eyes, By giving a shape and a value to the lies. You lend to traders dealing with real goods, Of tangible value and utility, your falsehoods. A Make-believe picture you create in their minds, That the lie is exchangeable for the worth you assigned. You then go on and levy interest on the receipt, Then hold them hostage to your printed deceit. Soon the users of your lies are convinced, That they owe to you, the value of their trade. Jinxed. They’re now oblivious of the fact that the value, Was neither created nor ever belonged to you. You hold the value of all the trade across the board, And you get richer with the lies that you hoard. Now you’re more adept in playing this filthy game, You control the governments and the rulers you tame. They feed your monopoly for funding the trade, In their territory of ruling or else they fade. They’re held in your hands like the pawns of chess. Puppets and actors on the stage, in a dress. The lies that are borrowed from you by the rulers, Are imposed as a debt on the public, the poolers. Ignorant of your brutality of Usury, They end up being born and dying in slavery. 2019 © 2021 DiamondReviews
