Lie

Lie

A Poem by Diamond

Weaving stories in the dark of night
With lies spinning in plain sight
Fabricating reality the way it's needed
For dependence, in the minds of masses, to be seeded

Rolling the dice of emotions and pity
And bringing in the elements of sympathy
To get better of innocent people
As their voice lays undoubting and feeble

Stirring up a scene of sentiments
And showcasing it to the audience
As awaited reaction starts swelling up
commercializing it and piling profits up

A world that revolves around made up things
With deceptive colors of facades, illuding
The fangs of the evil, waiting to attack
By clever maneuvers and stabbing in the back.
