The Matrix - I

The Matrix - I

A Poem by Diamond

Obscured by the inherited versions,

Of one’s sense of Identity,

From generations old perceived of,

And experientially held within the memory

As an unquestionable reality.

The impressions of such memories

Reiterated and reinforced

For the sole purpose of maintaining

The illusion of “The Matrix”

Thus, obstructing the innate power

Of one’s imaginational Presence,

Renders humanity on the brink

Of insanity of slavery and dependency.

Such impressions imposed upon

And maintained by way of subliminal influence

Dictates one’s intellectual perceptions

Of the reality, they are presented with.

The subliminal influence that most

Are complacently oblivious of

Are designed and induced

Into the collective psyche of humanity

With a tag line of inevitability

By the tyrannical authority.
