Whether named or not, reincarnation seems to be the thread that holds this one together. The speaker mentions a previous incarnation, then at the end says one life leads onto one another. Do right by each other seems to indicate that the individual can improve through subsequent incarnations. Nothing like a second chance, or a third, or a fourth, ad infinitum. Good news here.
