Hyphochondria

Hyphochondria

A Poem by Melinda

I feel them, the evil cells
Gathering in my ovaries,
In my uterus,
In my cervix.
Clustering together,
Conspiring against me
Plotting to destroy me-
From the inside out.
Whispered magic panic incantations,
white-fisted prayers to God,
To be spared,
To be protected.
Doctor, I trust you-
Take my blood,
Shoot beams through my body,
Push your cold instruments inside of me,
Then tell me
"For now you're fine.
Come back in six months time."
I know better,
I feel them, the evil cells..

About
Everything I told you about myself is terribly outdated. In my own defense I'm just lousy at keeping in touch. P.S. I love you (giggle) more..

Writing
Cold, Man. Cold, Man.
