Good To You

Good To You

A Poem by Melinda

You hold me at arms length
I've tried hard to understand it.
I get so tired of reaching out
To come back empty handed.

We would stay broken
We'd come to accept it,
Until it seemed to us
Our jagged ends might fit-

But I'm high when you're low
you're high when I'm low
and so far away
When I wish you were close.

Don't know if you want me
To worry or care,
To wish I could comfort,
Hold you; be there.

Tell me to go, ask me to stay
But know I'd rather do
Anything, and everything
To be good to you.

About
Everything I told you about myself is terribly outdated. In my own defense I'm just lousy at keeping in touch. P.S. I love you (giggle) more..

Writing
Cold, Man. Cold, Man.
