Staying Awake

Staying Awake

A Poem by Melinda

Im stuck with a memory

That I cant get

 To let go of me.

As usual it just crept in,

The cost?

Im lost once again.

Filled with fresh regret

Humble slumber

Alludes me and yet

I wonder if I could live;

Forgive myself for good

If I just forgot,

Said be gone, move on,

Out damn spot.

Some wish to be free,

Cut loose from the noose,

But not me.

I say, Stay with me ghost

Youve no end,

and Ive faith earned in the past

That you are sure to last.

i really enjoy reading your talent,
this is passionately entwined with
emotions that cut straight to the
heart, surrendering a messege in
essence i think most people can relate
to, powerfully scribed,

I say "Stay with me ghost.
You've no end, and in faith
I'm sure you will last."

taking readers to the depth
of your expression, thanks, peace, mike

About
Everything I told you about myself is terribly outdated. In my own defense I'm just lousy at keeping in touch. P.S. I love you (giggle) more..

Writing
Cold, Man. Cold, Man.
