Actions Speak Volumes

Actions Speak Volumes

A Poem by Temperate Poet
"

The faint call of personal growth is heard just over the horizon

"

It has been too long
I just need to confide
Oh how I long to be me

I need to be strong
And push my fears aside
Oh how I long to be me

I can sit here and spout off
All of the things I should do
But actions speak volumes
Which is really nothing new
I'm just searching for the path
That will get me through
The dark times to come
So I can be renewed

Temptation is screaming
I just need to find mute
Oh how I long to be me

I need to start being
And stop following suit
Oh how I long to be me

I can sit here and spout off
All of the things I should do
But actions speak volumes
Which is really nothing new
I'm just searching for the path
That will get me through
The dark times to come
So I can be renewed

The minute hand won't rest
I just need to move on
Oh how I long to be me

I need to be my best
And be true to my song
Oh how I long to be me

I can sit here and spout off
All of the things I should do
But actions speak volumes
When nothings coming through
I need to follow the path
That will get me through
The dark times to come
So I can be renewed

I will be renewed
That day will soon come
Oh how I long to be me

I will be renewed
I must overcome
In order for me to be me
