Snow, quintessentially.

Snow, quintessentially.

A Poem by Katelyn
"

A very short poem I wrote a year or two back before I stopped writing poetry. Life from a snowflakes point of view. Won me first place in the 'poem of the day (POD)' contest.

"

Shining memories sink to earth,
fading slowly once more dearth.
Singing sweetly on endless air
traveling in false mal de mer.

Resting softly on savoring lips
faintly acting to suns eclipse.
Dancing drop of winters fair,
arriving from a heavens care.

Frozen drops of dancing breath,
skeletal remains of melting death.
Fingers blue and eyes watch white,
spying ice in one last plight.

Rays of pooling golden doom,
casting warmth on sullen bloom.
Spreading memories of graying skies,
falling frozen 'til once more dies.

I'm... well let us just say it, I'm odd. Happily, blissfully odd. I painted my room in blue boxes with orange outlining them, I organize my numerous books by size, I talk to my paintbrushes, and I cur.. more..
