My heavenly torment

Some midnight thoughts led to this

We met as an afternoon delight, In deep kisses and soft touching fell in love.
We spent six years in decadent bliss.
In one night my heart stopped beating
when yours did.
9 years on I lie awake.
Your on my thoughts,
Skipping over mounds and ditches, you fill my mind.
Your sweet aroma caresses my memories
Your touch sends tingles
I'm lost in you
I dream of a day when your waiting for me.
Your back turns,
The sky explodes in to millions of pieces as a smile crosses your face.
My heart implodes.
I'm breathless.
The stars burn brighter
Birds sing sweeter
Flowers bloom larger than ever.
The beauty I am graced with in your presence collapses my entire being.
These dreams of bliss become my own heavenly torment.
Here on earth trapped in the forever of waiting, my thoughts lead back to this nightmare.
The pain sets in
Bones crack
Skin sits tight around me
I'm locked in
I try to escape
I run harder, faster, harder.
My feet pound the pavement, I leap to the edge of the earth.
and yet amongst the ocean breeze as my lips touch the water there I am trapped
Bones crack
Skintight
Stuck in the reflection staring back at me.
