As I trudge along a dreary day

I truly yearn for an escape

From the million roles that I portray

Through the world's eternal masquerade

A soul in search of happiness

Entrapped in this selfish race

Forever trying to break free

Towards a life with truth and grace

I wish I could leave behind

All the hurt and sorrow

Embracing lone the sweetness

For a bright and dazzling tomorrow
