[SIZE=10][b]An Overview of Super Soldier Programs[/b][/SIZE] available to the players according to their respective allegiances;
[SIZE=7][b]The Basic Super Soldier Program[/b][/SIZE]; these are programs that provide the basics of the requirements of the far, far future’s martial needs. This would include the increase of all rudimentary physical and mental capabilities usually required in war. These would definitely include increased strength, speed, endurance, concentration, Bio-immunity, Neuro-immunity, and etc. The programs are known as the following according to their respective allegiances. [b]The Patriot Program[/b]; the former United States of America super soldier program. It was spawned as an endeavor in android technologies and techniques rather than genetic manipulation and biological tampering. It was found in several studies that leaving the main physical and mental structure intact while modifying it with electronics instead was safer and merited lesser consequences than counter parts that used methods which tampered with the human body directly. The only weakness of this project is that it could only be used to its fullest extent when the soldier makes use of equipment specially made for soldiers of his kind. This limitation constricts the options for arming of the soldier to only a few choices developed and manufactured by his parent allegiance. It is possible that Characters of this make are more android than human. It is also possible that a soldier of this make may use IMOS equipment but will lose the advantages of equipment specially designed for his make. The Patriot Program requires direct and compatible modifications to the body in order to increase basic capabilities. Mind[C]Body[C]Soul[D]; A patriot is closer to an android than an actual human being, thus Patriots are more likely to need repair rather than healing as most of the bodies features have already been replaced with better and artificial enhancements. [b]The Neo-Royal Marine[/b]; the former United Kingdom super soldier program. It was spawned in tandem with the Patriot Program of the former United States of America. The methodology for this project was similar to the Patriot Program being that the main biological structure of the soldier was mildly tampered with using electronics rather than direct tampering of cells or genes. The only difference being, that the Neo-Royal Marine Project did not develop this project for use with a specially developed kind of equipment. The Neo-Royal Marine could be considered better in this way in comparison to the Patriot Program but Neo-Royal Marines maintain their capabilities when using equipment that do not actually increase them. Neo-Royal Marines, unlike the Patriot Program, do not need direct modification to the body s in order to increase their capabilities. Mind[C+++]Body[C+++]Soul[D] [b]The Neo-Spetsnatz Program[/b]; there is no force more ruthless and effective than the training and the entire fabrication of NS soldiers beneath the guiding hand of the Marxbruder Initiative. The Program itself was named Kalashnikov in tribute to the most revered weapons developer of the old world. Now, this group was named in honor of the elite force that struck terror into the hearts of the revolution’s enemies. They are stronger, faster, tougher, and conditioned to face the extremes that the other programs have failed to incorporate into their own designs. It is not known whether these men are human at all, as neither android technologies nor the direct tampering of the human body were evidenced to be used by the Marxbruder Initiative. Even at the advent of their birth, no corpse of a Neo-Spetsnatz soldier has ever been found or studied. It seems that at death, these men’s corpses activate an acid that dissolve the body when in contact with any form of external substance. It is projected though that the NS Soldier is capable of using any form of equipment without any lack in efficiency. The NS soldier does not require direct biological modifications in order to increase capability. Mind[D]Body[CC+++]Soul[D] [b]The Ultraviolet Program[/b]; years after the great Endless Sun Lands of Sunflower and Amaterasu rose to bathe in the suns light, the upper echelons convened to protect their ownership of the Sol’s grace. Their means of this protection was in developing a soldier at par with the other Super Soldier Programs that empower the jealous armies of those down below. This they called Ultraviolet, after the healing light of the sun. This allowed for a minor tampering in the Sunspot Gene. In effect, Solarii who have undergone this modification now heal faster, move faster, are more immune, stronger, and tougher than the rest of their counterparts with the option of increasing their abilities even more through the direct transfer of Solar energy into selective areas in the body. This is actually considered to be a skill now, rather than just another latent ability. Mind[CC]Body[CC]Soul[C]; [b]Sol Surge[/b] is the ability to temporarily increase a certain aspect of one’s self through the direct use of solar energy. [SIZE=7][b]Psionic Soldier Program[/b][/SIZE]; these are super soldier programs devised from the discovery of man’s latent psionic abilities. It was developed in order to harness this ability for military use. In truth, that was the very first application of Psionics itself. All the other applications for it were only secondary in priority as the rebirth of the old powers asserted themselves into the world’s stage. These programs are a mixture of genetic tampering, biological tampering, and mild modification through the use of technology. It does not include aspects of training as training in itself is dependent upon the institutions that offer them. [b]The Engelspear Project[/b]; these are psionic soldiers created by the German State of the Former European Union in order to meet the match of any conventional super soldier that deigns to greet them. This would place them at equal odds with Patriots or Neo-Royal Marines. The methodology of this ability is known as Mind over Self. It basically means that an Engelspear soldier could increase his own physical capabilities through an indefinite extent of time and to an indefinite increase in power. This capability is actually a skill called Introverting which proper training will hone in any Engelspear. It should be noted that this is a training of mind rather than body and there is no requirement for direct modifications of the human body in order to develop. Situational training is enough for that. It is not yet known whether this project is either genetic or cybernetic, but it has been known that the FFS, HRE, and MI hold soldiers of this kind. Mind[CC++]Body[D]Soul[D]; [b]Introversion[/b] is a skill wherein a character may strain his mind and physical energies to increase the other aspects of his character to meet the level of his Mind. [b]Project Eagle Eye[/b]; is the Federation of Free States commissioned project from several Psionics Research Institutions within its control that hone the human mind through some artificial modifications to the brain which allow the ability to see through another creatures eyes by linking to that creatures brainwaves by using energy waves which travel through time and space. This skill is usually called Clairvoyance. Mind[C]Body[D]Soul[D]; [b]clairvoyance[/b] will be discussed in detail elsewhere. [b]Project Seer[/b]; the Marxbruder Initiative has found it only just and humane that the extraction of truth from elements that seek the collapse of true freedom should be performed in ways that do no harm. Several Psionics Departments of the Factions that make up the Initiative have developed this project to meet that goal. In effect, it was not as humane as they hoped it would be. In truth, it was more an invasion into man’s last bastion of privacy, his thoughts. That was what they achieved, the ability to enter another man’s mind and make sense of it all, the chaos of imagery, the chaos of thoughts, into something the Marxbruder could use against his enemies. They call this ability, Visitation. Mind[C]Body[D]Soul[D]; there will be more detailed articles on [b]Visitation[/b] as I will treat this as a very unique concept of telepathy rather than just the usual stuff we usually like to play around with everyday. [b]Project Helios[/b]; the Psionics Core of the Children of Sol created this genetic tampering of Sunspot Genes in the hopes of producing a strong telekinetic Solarii soldier. They failed drastically, being that the Solarii now are the weakest of Mind over External Matter abilities, with the inversely proportionate exception of Solar Kinesis. The Sunspots that have undergone this program have the ability to turn solar energy into material beams of radiant energy which could have the intensity of an atomic bomb. The gravity of this intensity depends greatly on their ability to concentrate and divert solar energy directly into equipment which serves as the ports for these streams of radiant intensity. This ability is called Solar Blasting. Mind[C++]Body[C]Soul[C]; [b]Solar Blasting[/b] is an ability whose power is directly proportionate to a character’s Mind Aspect. It’s a pretty blunt instrument. You have solar energy on one hand, a focus item on the other, and then you look for a target and blast away. [b]Project Far Seer[/b]; while the rest of the world moved to take action, the Asian Co-prosperity Sphere chose to think ahead of the rest of them and predict the actions they were going to take. This is the ideal of ACS thought, to be ahead of the rest. Project Far Seer is a testament to that. No one knows how, but they’ve done it. They have directed man’s Psionic Latency upon a path that sees towards the future rather than moves within the present. They called it, Probability Calculation. Mind[CC]Body[F]Soul[D]; [b]Probability Calculation[/b] is a complicated aspect of this game. I’ll reserve it for future use as a game feature being that the game s still too young for it. [SIZE=10][b]The Other Projects[/b][/SIZE]; no one is willing to admit who developed these highly unstable and destructive Military Projects. What is known though is that these are remnants of a darker age of technology, both mundane and arcane. It was a time when man knew no bounds for his work and it birthed a legion of monsters. These monsters are highly valued individuals, hunted for their power and enslaved to the bidding of any faction. Those that cannot be used are terminated immediately, better than to allow a rival to acquire them. There is no shortage of these beings, as their kind is not inhibited by the sterility of cybernetics or the weakness of human flesh.
