The ClocklordsA Chapter by Teh_AzThis is an essay on the nature of clocklords and the power they have over the clockworld.
The Power of a Clocklord
As a Clocklord there are only a few things you need to take into account when playing your character. first is the name. That is self explanatory. Next is personality; this is something very important to roleplaying a Clocklord because your actions must always be in congruence with your personality and any deviation from such must always result in grave consequences to your Clocklord's psyche. The next is rank and age. Rank and age are always work hand in hand simply because it is age and rank that helps to approximate the power of your Clocklord. Age is self explanatory while rank depends soley on your gamemaster and the organization he has allowed you to join. Each organization has its own heirarchical standards and to achieve a rank is often done through doing something for the organization. Also, Clocklords are allowed only one organization. If they so wish to join another, they must resign from their old one and all the ramifications that may ensue. The next three things are those that rule the world, Influence, Wealth, and Power. Influence takes on the color of purple, Wealth the color of gold, and Power the color of starkly shining red. These are the three forms of power which fuel the cards your conduit possesses. How much of these you may be able to spend at any time depend upon how powerful you are as a Clocklord and power is earned through two things, age and experience. As your Clocklord grows so does his power, and for every measure of time that has gone by you are given a single point of increase for a single form of power. This measure of time is totally up to your gamemaster. Also, as your Clocklord sees and learns more and more of the world of Canon, he will recieve experience. Experience increases your power by a point also. Once again, how much and when you receive it is the judgment of your gamemaster. Essentially, the gamemaster is the Watchmaker. He who made Canon. This makes him the God of reality. To make a Clocklord for a game is a very simple matter. Give him a name. Give him a personality. The personality must include which part of the twelve hours of power he was born from and what specific concept he is of. Age him or rank him with the advice of your gamemaster. And then just use twelve power points to segregate amongst your forms of power. Easy enough. © 2010 Teh_Az |
