BELOVEDS

BELOVEDS

A Poem by Teeya

Chameleons

of persuasion:

lines and lullabies

inciting senses at will,

spilling secrets fostered

beneath my breast

when my tongue

has yet to

tell a soul

Melodic whispers

of satin strings

osculate somber woes

cradling me from myself

as gentle strands

of pianissimo cords

weave a blanket

of auditory comfort

My encouragers…

my critics,

compelling me

to remember all

while allowing me

to forget everything,

yielding emotions

to discern those things

I do and do not want to feel,

have and have not felt,

and should and should not desire

A ménage a trois

of interpretations,

versifications,

and intonations

fondle perceptions

of sight and sound

to compose a

body of harmony,

rousing innocent

and provocative

intentions

beyond a realm

lips and hands

could ever reach

Timbres and tones

pore into me,

saturating my being with

endless ballads, canticles, and

A Capella arias

til’ those wandering muses

find shelter in my den of thoughts,

life in the pulse of my fingertips, and

song in a voice who remains

chaste until either muse

galvanizes their refuge

with the urge

to release them

My lifelines…

invoking spirits in my

quietest moments,

jolting clarity

when confusion

suffocates

my sanity by

breathing lines into me

and I bleed ink onto

listless pages

and barren spaces til’

they become fertile with life

My first loves,

my first lovers,

shaping themselves

to bend my intellect

and sharing themselves

to shape the world...

my synonymic inspirations:

music and poetry

There are many things I don't get about human beings-- one is why more people have not read this little gem. You lines are both sinuous and sensuous while invoking an almost palpable sense of 'something' more, something greater.
Keep at it kid!
