Happily Ever AfterA Poem by TeeMarie15love poemHappily Ever After by Tiffany Congdon
A bird with clipped wings stole a piece of my heart. It flew high above with its precious treasure safe within its breast singing a gay little song. It perched on your shoulder and I watched, afraid to breathe. You very gently removed the piece of my heart from its breast, your eyes soft and your smile gentle. Then you took a bow and aarow as I stepped into view, my dress ripped in places from getting caught on the thorny bushes surrounding your kingdom. You took careful aim.... I held my breath as the arrow hit my body... And we lived happily ever after... © 2024 TeeMarie15 |
