Of a Stained Principle

Of a Stained Principle

A Poem by Teddybearlee

Of fairy tales and bloody knuckles
No happy endings just knees that buckle
A fallen tear calls a million more
This charcoal heart, an open sore

Of princesses and dragonslayers
Handsome demons as waylayers
A deadline with no expiration
A burning soul lacking motivation

Of rainbows and hurricanes
Sleepless eyes and scarring brains
Chests filled with meaningless quotes
Lungs filling with deathly motes

Of deaf gods and laughing devils
An endless wound as endured by several
Wasted ticking of a sunless sky
Does my truth have to be your lie
