This Hole

This Hole

A Poem by Teddybearlee

Twisted stomach and shaking hands
Stress fractured mind, forbidding demands
Weakened heart in overdrive
Eyes half closed, sleep deprived

Battles need attention like yesterday
If God has a time, it's not when I pray
Seeking solace in an alternate reality
Trying to calm the waves crashing on top of me

Body always aching from tension built
Tear ducts dried up and start to wilt
There's a world outside but it's all too much
It only burns me with it's scalding touch

Why can't it all just go away
Or people not hurt with the words they say
Why can't it all just go away
Anxiety is killing me, in hell I lay
