Willing Escape

Willing Escape

A Poem by Teddybearlee

Maybe I can will these angels that don't help
Down to earth to take me in my sleep tonight
Perhaps they'll agree my time here is done
And take me home in to the eternal light

Can they not see the world is done with me
And I will always be a fraction of a man
My mind warped beyond all hopes and dreams
A heart that has taken it's final stand

I'm ready now to escape the pain
Whether it's self inclicted or not in my control
These tears dried up and now it's blood
Pouring out of my eyes straight from my soul

Nothing left to give as I wake-walk day to day
Hollow like a cave with only one key that fits
A puzzle only one guardian has the right to solve
Mjölnir, a heart only one being can lift

Time has run down and I feel so ancient
And all these years I've played nothing but the fool
So come down and carry this weary spirit
To a place that really does believe in love's rule

This is soo raw. I hope you do know that you shouldn't leave just yet. I just met you that would be rude :D haha. But as dark as your poems are it's very beautifully written.

Dark and desperate... but highly poetic!
