To those that don't think I'm awake

Even if I walk through life on a fiery lake

I came up so hard so beat so lost
And every day I accept the life long cost
How easy it would be to let substance be the boss
Or let anger take over when the dice are toss

I've seen hell and survived the flame
Cut myself and "hung" myself in shame
Fought the demons you think are just a game
And strangled my temper till that b***h was tame

I don't sleep on this life I know it's all I've got
And this war I'm engaged in keeps me away from the rot
So till my last breath remember how I've fought
For the love in which I believe, even the reaper can't stop
