Dissolving Stitches

Dissolving Stitches

A Poem by Teddybearlee

So many parts of me you've broken
Yet only one part needs fixed
So many lies you told me
Yet only one truth can't be mixed

Things can fall in to place
Walls can be crumbled
Words can be rewritten
Anger can be humbled

No damage is beyond repair
And no heart can't be healed
Yet the cure is a one of a kind
Only you can make the wounds sealed

Don't wonder if I can handle it
I've set the stage in front of a crowd
They see at who's feet I kneel
I couldn't have been more loud

I let your faux hugs calm me
Imagine my emotions with a real one
Is there a better man for life
Can you honestly say I wasn't your sun

Even though I've waited patiently
I'm not the one that needed a lesson
But I forgive and I'll erase
This blank space without a question

But I forgive and I'll erase
This blank space without a question

There is so much hope and dignity in this- you aren't pleading, but instead displaying more than hope- belief that all can be healed, if only should would see that. Another very good display of how you've come to accept but not accept defeat or separation- accept that you know what could happen, if you are patient enough to wait. Great poem.
