I Can Forgive

To forgive, truly forgive, does that not mean to trust again?
Even if you don't forget, can you trust someone that sinned?
Can you let go of how much someone hurt your soul
Can you let it go, all the pain that they did dole

I believe I can forgive absolute
Dig this time about by the root
Stomp on it, burn it, say goodbye
And believe again, that you wouldn't lie

This to me is what the bible would say is forgiveness
To be able to love again with a passion so endless
To have faith and believe in someone with all you got
For true healing to take place, in the most armored solid spot

But for me to forgive, you still have to ask
You have to come home, be careful of the glass
In the beginning, the wire is pretty thin
But with all my heart and soul, I'd forgive, and love again
