The Answer to the Question

When you finally feel free
And words have more meaning
The chains of lonliness no longer holding you down

When a glimpse makes you smile
And a touch makes you giggle
And all you want to hear is another's heartbeat sound

The stars suddenly seem brighter
So close you can almost grab one
They pulsate with the breathing of the one on your shoulder

When you feel complete
Something you didn't know was missing
An extra blanket on top, when the winter gets colder

You wake up with a smile
And go to bed with a grin
It feels right to have your arm around someone

Any doubts erased
You've learned the meaning of faith
And words said you believe will never be undone

You put forth extra effort
In all that you do
To build a better life, for that special someone, with you

You no longer fear the future
And the past doesn't even matter
You will face all odds together, and weather any storm

In your rocking chairs together
